Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt were the BFFs of Bollywood. However, ever since Alia started dating Katrina’s ex Ranbir Kapoor, rumours were rife that all was not well between the two leading ladies of Bollywood.
In a recent interview, Katrina opened up on her equation with Alia after she started dating Ranbir. She said, “The fact that she was dating was not relevant to the equation that I shared with her. So why should that equation change?
On Karan Johar’s chat show, Katrina had said that there is a lot of enjoyment and comfort that she shares with Alia. She also added that she, Alia and Deepika Padukone go to the same gym and work out together.
As 2018 was the year of several Bollywood weddings, Katrina on a chat show said, “I am like everyone’s getting married, wait… don’t leave me behind.”
In 2016, Katrina and Ranbir broke up. Speaking about this, Katrina had opened on how she had to reconstruct her life again and how she finally managed to find peace.
“What human nature does is that when we have something, or someone, to focus on, we can also shift a lot of our attention there, so we are not really forced to look at ourselves in any great perspective. We’re able to kind of shift a lot of responsibility-on decisions, for happiness, for entertainment and motivation. So now, when the sole burden of your life, what you’re doing, and your state of mind is on your shoulders because there’s nothing to distract you, that is a very intense time,” she said.
She found determination and strength to plough on. “It’s probably one of the first times in my life where I really had only myself to focus on. And when you focus on yourself, often, the first thing you realise is that you don’t really know yourself. It’s like a period of not knowing, a period of being uncomfortable because you’re seeing yourself in your raw form without embellishments and then accepting that you don’t really know who you are.”
On the work front, Katrina was last seen with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in Zero. Currently, she is busy shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat with Salman Khan.
