Maybe one day Tom Brady and Odell Beckham Jr., the New York Giants wide receiver entering the last year of his contract, will connect on a deep route down the sideline in Foxborough. But for now, the Patriots quarterback is teaming up with OBJ to complete Lil Wayne lyrics.
Beckham Jr., a Pro Bowl wideout in each of his first three seasons, posted a picture Monday of himself on the other side of the equation, drawing the football back to throw.
“Quarterback Weezy, young Tom Brady, open ya mouth…”, Beckham Jr. wrote in the caption.
The lyrics are from Lil Wayne’s “That’s All I Have“, and Brady, who was tagged in the picture, stepped up to finish the line.
“And catch a bomb baby…”, Brady commented, adding a trophy emoji.
It’s not the first time the pair have crossed paths on Instagram. After cameras caught Brady berating offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels on the sideline in 2017, Beckham Jr. posted a montage of both players displaying the fiery competitiveness that makes them stars. The Giants’ No. 13 suggested that he gets criticized for the same passion that earns New England’s number 12 adulation.
In that post, Beckham Jr. proclaimed that he was #GoatChasin, and he was back with more Greatest of All Time love on Monday. He posted a second picture, this time complete with the four-legged farm animal emoji, and added Drake’s verse in Birdman’s “Mo Milly” for Brady to finish.
