Piers Morgan has delivered a scathing assessment of Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil.
The German playmaker has been out of action in recent weeks due to an ongoing back problem.
Ozil’s last appearance came in the draw with Wolves on November 11 and he is set to miss out again when Arsenal face Huddersfield on Saturday.
Morgan is far from convinced with the injury problems and warns Ozil will find himself out in the cold if he cannot adapt to Unai Emery’s methods.
“On his day he is a world class footballer and arguably the most gifted we have. But he too often disappears and I have never known anyone have as many sick days,” Morgan told Saturday Morning Savage on BT Sport.
“There is something wrong with his heart, not physically or medically, something that doesn’t get him going enough.
“If he can’t rise to the level Emery wants, go and play somewhere else.
“I don’t care how good you are because the other players are showing utter commitment.
“If he wants to play for this team, he has to turn up every game and he just doesn’t do it.”
Arsenal will look to extend their unbeaten run to 21 games when they welcome Huddersfield to the Emirates on Saturday.
The Gunners could only manage a 2-2 draw at Manchester United in midweek despite leading twice.
