Mesut Ozil is out once again for Arsenal as they take on Huddersfield at the Emirates

He is still recovering from back ache and Unai Emery has opted for a change in formation to take on the Terriers.

Arsenal look to be starting with a 3-5-2 formation with the league’s top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang partnered in attack by Alexandre Lacazette.

Granit Xhaka, who has captained the side in Laurent Koscielny’s absence this season, returns from suspension but Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi retain their places also.

As expected, Bernd Leno is protected by Shkodran Mustafi, Sokratis and Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The latter comes in for Rob Holding who ruptured his ACL in the 2-2 draw at Old Trafford in midweek.

In his programme notes, Emery said Aaron Ramsey would have a late fitness test to see if he is ready to play.

And clearly the Welshman was not deemed fit enough to make the game and is not involved.

Club captain Koscielny and full-back Nacho Monreal both return from injury to make the bench.

Unai Emery talks about how his Arsenal side can improve defensively after hippy crack dressing down

It is Arsenal’s first game since The Sun exclusively revealed some players inhaling “hippy crack” from balloons at a private event in August.

Boss Emery resisted the temptation to punish his players heavily for the incident.

But controversial fan Piers Morgan was “disappointed” with senior players such as Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
