Talk about some exciting news! Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero is all set to have its World premiere at the grand Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF2018) that kickt-starts tonight at the Netaji Indoor Stadium. Turns out SRK specially urged Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to allow him to show the trailer of Zero at the inaugural function tonight in addition to other programs lined up for the event. Shah Rukh will also be heard sharing a few words on cinema and addressing the crowd at the inaugural function. While the film festival will be held from November 10-17. The list of chief guests include Amitabh Bachchan Jaya Bachchan, Mahesh Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Waheeda Rehman, Biswajit and Nandita Das
Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero is an emotionally heavy film that will leave a huge impact on you. If you have watched the trailer then you will know what we are trying to say. Where SRK plays a vertically challenged guy. Anushka slips into a specially abled character who is on a wheel chair in most parts of the film. Katrina Kaif on the other side plays the role of a glamorous actress drowning in alcohol and depression. How do these characters connect? How do they help each other out in overcoming their weaknesses? Is what Zero is all about.
Which explains why the trailer of Zero, which was launched by SRK on his 53rd birthday (November 2), is winning th internet even today. People are thrilled to watch SRK play the most challenging role of his life. As Aanand L Rai had mentioned earlier, “Khan saab surprised me. When I saw it recently, I wondered how I managed it. Zero was tough for me as a director, but even more so for Khan saab. This is his toughest role. It drained him physically and mentally. He could not afford to slip even for a second.”
